SAHI

The Saudi association for Health Informatics (SAHI) was established in 2005 to work under direct supervision of King Saud University for Health Sciences to practice public activities, develop theoretical and application knowledge, provide scientific and applicable studies and consultation, private and public, as per the provisions provided in these rules.

What is health informatics?

Health informatics (also called healthcare informatics or health informatics, medical informatics, nursing informatics, clinical informatics or biomedical informatics) is health care informatics, a multidisciplinary field that uses health information technology (medical information technology) to improve health care by Any combination of the highest quality and highest efficiency (inducing cost reduction and greater availability), and the disciplines involved in information science include computer science, social sciences, behavioral sciences, management sciences, and other sciences. It also deals with the resources, devices, and methods needed to improve the acquisition and storage of and retrieval and use of information in the field of health and biomedicine Health informatics tools include, among others, computers, clinical guidelines, formal medical terminology, and information and communication systems It is also applied to the fields of nursing, clinical care, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, Occupational therapy, medical (biological) research, physiotherapy and alternative medicine

Objectives of SAHI
