Health Informatics Awaness Day
SAHI , in coordination with the ICT department of Riyadh Military Hospital , organizes Health Informatics Awareness Day on Sunday 13 January 2008. The Chairman of SAHI, Dr. Majid Altuwajri , will open the event at 8:30 which is part of the RMH Information Technology Week. The seminar will include a variety of lectures related to Health care Information Systems, Telemeters, and E-learning in Health in addition to a Workshop on the Diffusion of Health Information Technology.
Speakers include Dr. Mahmoud El Barbary , Executive Board member of the National & Gulf Center for Evidence Based Medicine, Mr. Mansour Al Swaidan , IT Director of Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City, Mr. Joseph Franke , Supervisor of Research and Information Systems of the Cardiac Center at King Abdulaziz Medical City, Dr. Reem Al Hamidi of the Dentistry Department at Riyadh Military Hospital, and Mr. Ahmad Al Horaibi , Team Leader of Medical Applications at the National Guards Health Affairs.
The purpose of the Saudi E-Health 2010 conference is to bring together both healthcare providers and information technologists to empower the advancements in the delivery, quality, and continuity of health care.
